Construction Industry OrganizationsBob Moore Construction Company has
provided the following information about the leading commercial construction industry
trade organizations.The
American Concrete Institute (ACI) is a nonprofit technical and educational
society organized in 1904 and is one of the world's leading authorities on concrete
technology. ACI is a forum for the discussion of all matters related to concrete
and the development of solutions to problems. The standards for concrete and tilt-up
construction developed by ACI are used by real estate developers, architects and
commercial construction companies across the United States. The
Association of General Contractors (AGC) is America's oldest and largest construction
industry trade association. The AGC coordinates with OSHA, EPA and other government
agencies on regulations, lobby politicians to influence legislation and participate
in judicial actions that affect the industry. Local AGC chapters work to improve
jobsite safety, standardize permitting and other regulatory requirements throughout
their areas and improve the performance of their region's commercial construction
companies through education and a commitment to greater standards. The
Tilt-up Concrete Association (TCA) is the leading trade organization in the
industry for tilt-up construction. Founded in 1986 by a group of construction
companies, professionals and manufacturers, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association works
to expand and improve the use of Tilt-Up as construction companies' preferred
method for commercial concrete construction. Unlike the other trade organizations,
TCA supports commercial construction companies almost exclusively as residental
contractors typically don't use tilt-up construction to build houses. The
U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed
to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and
energy-saving green buildings. USGBC's Mission is to transform the way buildings
and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally
and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the
quality of life. Bob Moore Construction encourages you to call today and
